Maatjes Herring 150g

The Dutch love their herring! Maatjes or Matjes are cured herring only caught in May and only a certian size. Serve them on a slice of bread with finely chopped onions and lettuce and tomato garnish. The Dutch like to hold them by the tail, tip there head back and take bites out of them.
